The last two weekends I spent in Aspen wonderland driving up the top to the Ski Basin in Santa Fe. It’s a good thing I live here. The ride is about 45 min and it felt like an exodus with hundreds of cars driving up.

After about 20 minutes into the drive, the breathtaking beauty of the golden aspen leafs opened to a sensational view that made everything else disappear. Of course my beloved drove, meaning I could turn my head at any curve to inhale more and more of stunning golden light radiating from the shining leafs.

‘Ah’ and ‘Oh’ I sighed with every new view that opened up. It was a good thing that we stopped the car so we both could just stand there in awe of this visceral color therapy nature provided.

On our way home I checked in with my body, who seemed to have absorbed the color golden perfectly, and I noticed a level of expansion inside my cells that I wasn’t accustomed to.

We both got really quite because we ran out of words to express the beauty we just inhaled.

It seemed that this year I became aware of nature’s ravishment more than ever before. Did something shift inside of me?

Yes, it did.

I have learned that the way we feel inside is what we become aware of outside of us. Meaning I must have hit a threshold inside of me by allowing myself to feel more beautiful inside, and, suddenly the Aspens are more beautiful than ever.

What is the secret to expanding your inner sense of beauty?

Next time you see something beautiful ask yourself: ‘Could it be that I am just seeing my own inner beauty reflected back to me?’

Take a deep breath. Feel, sense, and notice what impulses well up inside of you.

This is a marvelous way to become aware of your Divine Inner Self.

When you are struck by something beautiful remember this is how your Divine Inner Self feels, and maybe shakes you out of your restricted point of view. You came in touch with your own divinity, who is always beautiful and sees only beauty.

This is one of my favorite ways to expand my sense of beauty and love for myself. It creates a powerful shift. Please try it for yourself, and let me know how it works for you!
